cybeslify.com

Okay so here’s the boring but necessary part. If you’re using Cybeslify, this is basically the agreement between you and us. Nobody reads these pages fully, we get it, but there’s a few things worth knowing.

Cybeslify is a blog run out of the US. We write about cybersecurity, tech, AI, hacking incidents, malware, VPNs, phishing, ransomware, all of it. It’s a small operation, not a corporation with a legal department, so keep that in mind as you read this.

By using the site you’re agreeing to what’s below. If you don’t agree, no hard feelings, just don’t use it.

Content and copying

Everything we publish, we wrote (or had written for us). You can share our articles, link to them, quote a sentence here and there with credit. What you can’t do is copy paste whole posts onto your own site or claim it as your own work. We do check for that sometimes, and it’s annoying when it happens.

We’re not your security consultant

We research before we write, but at the end of the day this is a blog, not a cybersecurity firm. Don’t make big decisions, especially business ones, just because you read something here. If you’re dealing with an actual hack, a breach, something legal, go find an actual expert. We’re a starting point, not the finish line.

Things go out of date

This is probably the most important one honestly. Cybersecurity changes fast, sometimes weekly. A VPN’s privacy policy we reviewed last year might be different now. A malware strain might’ve evolved. We try to keep old posts updated but we can’t catch everything, so double check anything time-sensitive before you rely on it.

Links to other sites

Some of our posts link out, whether that’s a tool, a source, or a company we’re talking about. Once you click that link you’ve left our site and we’ve got no control over what happens there, what they collect, or how their site works. Use your own judgment.

Comments and messages

If you’re commenting or reaching out through our contact form, don’t post anything illegal or abusive, don’t try to spam us, and don’t try to poke around our site looking for vulnerabilities (we know that happens more than people think). If you do, we’ll just remove the content or block you, nothing crazy.

Ownership

The name Cybeslify, the articles, the graphics, that’s all ours unless stated otherwise. If you want to use something beyond a quote or a share, just ask first.

Liability stuff

If something goes wrong after reading our content, we’re not liable for it. We put information out there, what you do with it is your call. That’s really the short version of what a lawyer would write in five paragraphs.

Changes

We might update this page from time to time as the site grows or laws change. We’ll bump the date at the top when that happens. Continuing to use the site after that basically means you’re okay with it.

Any questions, just email us at cybeslify@gmail.com. We actually read those.
